In this pack, you will find:
1(one)pce Hughes part# 9203-UT-MFP, Replacement Modem Front Panel
Charging Guidelines
The Hughes 9203 charges with a constant-voltage, constant current battery charger circuit with the following parameters:
1. Nominal charge voltages: 8.40 VDC (Maximum charge voltage: 8.50 VDC)
2. Nominal charge current: 3200 mA (Maximum charge current: 3250 mA)
3. Charge temperature range: 0oC to +40oC
Charging Cautions
The UT battery is a high capacity lithium-ion battery pack. When using the 9203 terminal in extremely hot environments with a PDP context active, you may see a “Battery Too Hot” error message.
To avoid this error, you can connect an external power source. Some standard external power sources are listed below:
• AC/DC power adapter P/N 3500411-0008
• Hughes DC/DC power adapter P/N 3500099-0003
• Various military batteries e.g., BA-2590, BA-5590 or AN/PRC 148.
Use the following cable accessories with 2.5mm ID x 5.5mm OD barrel connector:
o Ext. Battery cable BA-5590, 12 V (9511201-0002)
o Ext. Battery cable AN/PRC-152 (9511202-0002)
HUGHES 9203 SYSTEM INFO
The BGAN Patrol terminal connects to the satellite network without need for user pointing or intervention and integrates with existing communication systems and batteries. Users no longer
need to pause and deploy a static COTP terminal to communicate – reducing vulnerability on the field.
BGAN Patrol provides beyond line of sight (BLOS) communications, extending line of sight (LOS) IP
networks independently from any terrestrial networks. Users can connect at standard background IP of up to 100 kbps via ethernet or through the built-in multi-user Wi-Fi feature to support a group of local connections.
End user devices, such as Android Tactical devices, can be connected to the BGAN Patrol terminal to provide data to applications vital to gaining an operational advantage over adversaries in the field.
Typical applications include:
• Enablement of Battle Management System (BMS), such as TAK and SitaWare
• Bridging of Mobile Ad-hoc Network(MANET) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) radio networks
• Blue Force Tracking (BFT) of allied forces on live maps
• Laser range finder data to provide an exact distance to long range targets for snipers, artillery, and air support
• Situational Awareness gathering and reception to maximize coordination
• Calling for Casualty Medical Evacuation (MedEvac)
FEATURES
• Rugged and durable IP65 rating
• Comms-on-the-move (COTM)
• Built-in Wi-Fi
• Advanced integrated user interface (IUI)
• Automatic Context Activation (ACA)
• Extended L-band (XL-Band) enabled Interfaces
• Ethernet connection (RJ45)
