SBB-AV-200SP-LGA Cobham Aviator 200SP System, Single Channel Class 15, Low Gain Antenna

SKU: SBB-AV-200SP-LGA

SBB-AV-200SP-LGA Cobham Aviator 200SP System, Single Channel Class 15, Low Gain Antenna

Available in single or multichannel configurations, AVIATOR SP has a small component footprint, a variety of mounting options, and Cobham’s compact antennas that are qualified for helicopter installation.

Cobham’s SP SATCOM solutions have been proven and tested in a variety of helicopter applications, with installations on the Mi-8 for forward-looking infrared (FLIR) imagery and communication, the AW101 and EH101 for ‘Office in the Sky’ services, the UH-60 Blackhawk for military connectivity, and the Bell 407 for FLIR video and communication.

The range encompasses single-channel systems featuring speeds up to 432 kilobits per second (Kbps), enabling L-band SATCOM on even the most space-restricted aircraft. The multichannel systems offer the highest performance available on SwiftBroadband at up to 1,600Kbps. The systems include a choice of Cobham High Gain Antenna or the IGA-5001 Intermediate Gain Antenna.

Cobham Aviator 200SP is Cobham’s smallest and lightest system consisting of the SDU-7310 (flange mount), the HLD-7260 and the LGA-3000 blade antenna. This system gives the user access to Inmarsat Class 15 SwiftBroadband service, allowing up to 200kbps data throughput.

The Standard Package AVIATOR 200SP (class 15 single channel Inmarsat SB capable system) includes:

  • SDU-7310,
  • HLD-7260 and
  • Low Gain Antenna
  • NOTE: Variations available upon request – please contact our engineering support.

The SDU-7310/7315 is a flange mount SDU that does not require an ARINC 600 tray and employs a circular connector, saving space, weight and installation cost. With this SDU, even the most space restricted aircraft can have L-band SATCOM.

The flange mount form factor is available in both single and dual channel versions and can be installed in any orientation, offering unmatched installation flexibility.

It is ideal for installation on any aircraft, but preferred by small bizjets, helicopters and UAVs.

SDU-7310/7315 Features:

  • The flange mount package reduces installation costs and increases flexibility
  • Suitable for installation outside the aircraft pressure vessel
  • Integrated SIP server
  • Routing of internal calls between handsets
  • PPPoE Internet access
  • Power Over Ethernet on all ports (configurable)
  • 1 or 2 channel option
  • Class 6, 7 and Class 15 system configurations
  • Inmarsat Approvals : S6CH08; S7CH03
    User interfaces:
  • Ethernet : 2 x 10BaseT user ports,
  • POTS: 2 x Two-wire phone interfaces, (Two handsets per interface),
  • RS232 for remote monitoring and control
  • Radio silence discrete input

SwiftBroadband is an Inmarsat packet-switched service that offers in-flight connectivity (access to the Internet, email, voice-calls and any other application used at home or in the office, e.g. Skype, Facebook).

The system can also support video streaming, with typical applications in video conferencing and aerial surveillance.

Background data rates of up to 432kbps per channel, depending on the class of service(determined by the class of antenna – LGA, IGA or HGA).

The Cobham AVIATOR SP SDUs (Satellite Data Units) provide the radio modem and system control functionality of the
SwiftBroadband system.

These SDU’s have one or more of the following unique differentiators:
– they support multi-channel SwiftBroadband
– they are available in a flange mount configuration
– they have AriNC 600 connector interfaces
– they offer extended temperature and vibration qualifications
